Quentin Tarantino’s getting the gang back together.

The official teaser trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s latest feature, The Hateful Eight, was recently released, and it looks exactly like what you’d expect a western directed by Quentin Tarantino to look like, yet also somehow completely different from Django Unchained; in fact, with a cast that features Michael Madsen, Tim Roth, Samuel L. Jackson, and Kurt Russell, this film is beginning to look like a Tarantino Hall of Fame picture. Watch it for yourself below:

While the teaser may not reveal too much about the plot, just the basic premise (THANK YOU), it does show us that this film will be chock-full of the things most people love about Tarantino’s films: stylized violence, quick-witted dialogue, and deeply interesting characters. Tim Roth’s character sticks out in particular to me as one that I’m pretty sure I’ll fall in love with; not sure if it’s the possible Reservoir Dogs reference they drop when they talk about the rat or that cliched, yet still oddly great accent he’s rocking. On top of that, the shots of the old Western landscape look absolutely beautiful and I’m sure they’re going to amaze even more in theaters, in all their 70mm glory. Say what you want about the debate between digital and film, but damn Tarantino sure makes film look gorgeous.

Oh Mr. Orange, how you’ve grown.

Since I never read the script when it leaked (come on Quentin, who did you think you were fooling? You know you were as excited to make the film as we are to see it), I went into this teaser completely blind and loved every second of it; what did you guys think?
