John Stamos Memoir: , best known for his role in “Full House,” is sharing a chapter from his personal life, revealing details about a past relationship with actress Teri Copley in his upcoming memoir “If You Would Have Told Me.” Stamos claims that Copley cheated on him with actor Tony Danza.
Despite their initial romance, Stamos writes that Copley started distancing herself from him after he returned from his car show appearances and performances with the cover band Papa Doo Run Run.
Worried about Copley’s sudden lack of communication, Stamos decided to check on her. He discovered a car in her driveway, and when he looked inside, he found a hairbrush, keys, boxing gloves, and a poster of his girlfriend, partially nude under a white sheet, which he had never seen before.
Unable to enter her house, Stamos went to Copley’s guesthouse and found someone in bed, whom he referred to as “Mr. Porsche Speedster” due to the vintage car parked in her driveway.
Stamos writes, “My heart is beating out of my chest. My mind is racing, and the room is spinning. I feel like throwing up all over her white shag carpet. It’s my worst nightmare.” has sought comments from representatives of Copley and Danza.
In a surprising twist, Stamos later acknowledges the impact Danza had on his acting career. After an initially lackluster season of “Full House,” the show was paired with Danza’s popular sitcom “Who’s the Boss?” in the ABC lineup, which significantly boosted “Full House’s” viewership and made Stamos a household name.
Stamos writes, “If you would have told me the day I walked into that room and caught my true love in bed with another guy that his show, ‘Who’s the Boss?,’ would launch Full House into a bona fide hit, making me a household name, well, what can I say? Thanks, Tony Danza.”
