Jason Statham Sylvester Stallone, and Bill Block Unite for Thrilling ‘Levon’s Trade

Jason Statham Sylvester Stallone: Black Bear and BlockFilm, the new production label headed by former Miramax boss Bill Block, are making waves at the AFM market with their upcoming action movie, “Levon’s Trade.” The film stars Jason Statham of the “Fast & Furious” franchise and is directed by David Ayer, known for “Suicide Squad.” Sylvester Stallone, famous for “Creed” and “Rambo,” adapted the screenplay from the novel of the same name by comic author Chuck Dixon.

In “Levon’s Trade,” Statham portrays Levon Cade, a man who left his shadowy past in the world of black ops to live a simple life and be a good father to his daughter. However, when his boss’s teenage daughter Jenny goes missing, he is forced to reawaken his lethal skills. As he searches for the missing student, he becomes entangled in a sinister criminal conspiracy that threatens his newfound way of life.

The film is set to begin shooting in London in March 2024. David Ayer and Chris Long will produce for Cedar Park Entertainment, along with Jason Statham for Punch Palace Productions, Sylvester Stallone for Balboa Productions, John Friedberg for Black Bear, and Bill Block for BlockFilm.

Producer Bill Block, who recently left Miramax, expressed his excitement about the project and the talented team assembled for “Levon’s Trade.” The film promises to be a thrilling action movie that brings the popular Levon Cade thriller series to the big screen.

Black Bear’s AFM slate also includes other exciting projects such as “She Rides Shotgun,” a crime thriller starring Taron Egerton; “Wicker,” a twisted romance featuring Olivia Colman and Dev Patel; “Whistle,” a genre film directed by Corin Hardy and starring Dafne Keen; and “Sing Sing,” with U.S. rights acquired by A24, starring Colman Domingo.
