Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos recently graced the 27th Annual New York Restoration Project Hulaween Gala, and they certainly embraced the Halloween spirit.
The hosts of “Live with Kelly and Mark” made a grand entrance, donning coordinated Día de Muertos costumes, paying tribute to the Day of the Dead holiday. Ripa, 53, sported braided ponytails with an eye-catching red floral crown adorned with golden spikes. Their faces were transformed with intricate skeletal designs.
Ripa rocked a form-fitting leather corset top with a black mesh overlay on her arms and neck. Her multilayered skirt incorporated a rainbow of colors, a nod to the vibrant hues associated with the Día de Muertos and traditional Mexican culture.
Consuelos, known for his role in “Riverdale,” looked dapper in a black bolero jacket adorned with intricate gold details and matching black slacks.
The New York Restoration Project’s Hulaween Gala is an annual fundraiser aimed at ensuring equitable access to green spaces for all New Yorkers. This year’s costume party unfolded at Cipriani South Street under the theme “Once Upon a Hulaween: Scarytales & Deadtime Stories.”
To inspire attendees’ creativity, the organization compiled a 20-page costume lookbook, featuring wardrobe ideas from iconic TV characters and notable figures like Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page and Jared Leto at the 2019 Met Gala.
Notably, Clive Davis was honored at the event, receiving the Wind Beneath My Wings award. The gala also featured live performances by Dionne Warwick and Chlöe.
Ripa and Consuelos served as event chairs alongside their daughter, Lola Consuelos. Other event chairs included Andy Cohen, Padma Lakshmi, Bryan Lourd, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, Vered Rabia, Darcy Stacom, and Bette Midler.
