Adapted from Chuck Dixon’s novel of the same title, Levon’s Trade marks Stallone’s return to screenwriting, following his work on 2019’s Rambo: Last Blood and 2018’s Creed II. Originally conceived as a television series under Balboa Productions, the film is the first installment in Dixon’s Levon Cade thriller series.

The story revolves around Levon Cade, a man who left his former life to work in construction, seeking an anonymous existence while being a devoted father to his daughter. However, when a local girl goes missing, he’s compelled to draw upon the skills that once made him a legendary figure in the covert realm of counterterrorism.

Levon’s quest to find the vanished college student takes him into the heart of a treacherous criminal conspiracy, setting off a chain of events that endangers everything he holds dear. It’s a call for him to return to his deadly trade, for Levon’s trade is death, as described in the book’s synopsis.

Production responsibilities are shared by David Ayer and Chris Long for Cedar Park Entertainment, along with Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone. John Friedberg and Bill Block are also on board as producers.
