Golden Globe Noms for Maestro: The 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards nominations have been unveiled, and Broadway enthusiasts will find familiar names on the list. Scheduled for January 7, 2024, the Golden Globes ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS and available for streaming on Paramount+ and the CBS app.

Bradley Cooper‘s Maestro, a biopic capturing the life of West Side Story composer Leonard Bernstein, secured a nomination for Best Motion Picture, Drama. Cooper and his co-star Carey Mulligan, known for her Broadway appearances in The Elephant Man and Skylight, received acting nominations, with Cooper earning an additional nod for Best Director.

The movie adaptation of The Color Purple missed out on a Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy nomination. Martin Short, Steve Martin, and Meryl Streep also secured acting nominations for their roles in the show.
